Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, the item arrives with you damaged or is unacceptable, we will make every effort to rectify the situation to ensure you are fully satisfied with your purchase.

Shipping Damages

If the item packaging is clearly damaged on receipt from the courier make sure that you sign for it as damaged. This will enable us to make a claim on the courier's insurance. If the item packaging looks fine but the contents when opened are clearly damaged, then notify us immediately. In either case, you must notify us within 7 days of receiving it. Please keep this is mind if you are giving the item as a gift.

We will normally make a collection and arrange a replacement (at our cost) but we will discuss the options with you. If you agree to a collection of the broken item by the courier, you must ensure that the globe is ready packaged and available for the courier collection on the agreed date. Failure to do this will incur an additional charge (€10.00) which you will be liable for.

Faulty and Incorrect Supplied Items

Items are inspected prior to shipping but occasionally manufacturing faults do slip through the net. In this case, notify us within 7 days and we will either send replacement components, or a replacement item or offer an alternative.

Please note:

  • •  Illuminated globe bulbs may work loose in transit and may require tightening on receipt. This is not a fault.
  • •  Most globes are manufactured by glueing map segments to a ball known as 'gores'. Perfect alignment is not possible so there may a small mismatch between joins. This is normal and is not considered a fault.

Unwated Items

Any goods may be returned provided they are returned in an 'as new' condition in their original packaging. Items that have to be constructed (so that they cannot be resold as new) cannot be returned if they have been assembled.

Please inform us within 7 days of receiving the item. Items bought as Christmas gifts may be exchanged up to the 5th January. Qualifying returns can have the option of an exchange or a credit. A credit or an exchange will be issued upon our receipt of the item. In the case of a return we will issue the credit to the original credit card less any original shipping costs. Where free shipping has been given, the shipping cost is assumed to be €10.00. You are responsible for the return shipping costs and insurance against damage.

We will send you an e-mail to let you know when we have processed your return.

Returning an item

When returning an item:

  • •  Please enclose a note, giving the reason for the return.
  • •  If the item is faulty please give a full description of the fault.
  • •  Wrap the package securely, if possible in its original box.
  • •  For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.
